The Home Stretch

Matthew and I had a lovely trip back to Michigan this weekend and enjoyed SO much getting to see so many of you. Hooray! As that was the last possible time that I would be cleared for travel, I consider myself officially grounded here for the next few months. Elmo should be making his appearance sometime in the next 2-6 weeks, after which we'll be hanging out here getting used to being a family. Someday we'll travel again, but not for awhile I'm guessing.

That being said, I feel comfortable with the idea that we are now officially in the home stretch of this pregnancy. I still enjoy being pregnant (most of the time), but I definitely want to meet this little squirt who's been mooching off of me for the last few months. And because we're getting close, I don't feel bad about beginning that final set of projects to prepare for his arrival. I'll probably be pulling out some of the baby equipment that we have in the closet and figuring out how all of it goes together. And I'll start packing for the hospital (yikes). Anyone out there who has suggestions for what to bring/not bring is encouraged to share their thoughts. Hopefully we will be as prepared as we need to be (knowing me, we'll be over-prepared).

Any other ideas for how to fill my last few weeks? Feel free to send a few prayers up for us as we get ready. I imagine we'll need all the extra grace we can get. And don't worry... you will be kept updated as updates are necessary.
