Whew! It’s August. We’ve made our last trip to Michigan for the summer and are content to stay at home for the next few months. Here’s what’s coming up:
1. Weekend Away in West Virginia (next weekend). Our last hurrah for the summer. We’ll stay in a small cabin next to some friends and spend the weekend swimming, hiking, and hopefully having a great time. I wish I could say it’s the start of a tradition, but these friends are moving to Nigeria in September.
2. Preschool. Henry will start a part-time preschool at our church in September. Should be a good time for all of us! I’m still getting used to the idea and am curious to see how it will all work out for our family.
3. Saying goodbye to this (our kitchen as it was when we moved in):
We’ve been waiting for Matt’s term at school to be over so we have more time to work on it together. His last classes are tomorrow, so I think it’s officially time to get started. Stay tuned for updates!
